Overdraft Protection

Community Bank offers two great solutions to help cover those unexpected expenses and provide the protection you need.

Savings Overdraft Protection Plan

Protect yourself from the cost and inconvenience of returned checks or overdraft charges. Use your Community Bank savings account balance to provide overdraft protection for your Community Bank checking account. If you overdraw your checking account, we will automatically transfer the amount you need from your savings account to your checking account. Our Savings Overdraft Protection Plan features:

Federal regulations limit you to six withdrawal transactions from your savings account each monthly statement cycle. If you exceed the transaction limit on more than an occasional basis, we may restrict or revoke transaction privileges on the account and an Excess Activity Fee may be applied.

Line of Credit

Additional protection is available through our Line of Credit (LOC), which is a revolving credit line linked to your Regular or Interest-Bearing Checking Account to provide overdraft protection when needed. You can also access the funds directly without affecting your checking account balance by visiting your local Community Bank and requesting an LOC advance. There is no annual fee, the interest rate is comparable to most credit cards, and limits are available starting at $1,000.*

*Credit is subject to approval.
