Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is home to the world's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa, and one of the most active, Kilauea. Elevations extend from sea level up to 13,677 ft., at the summit of Mauna Loa. Its diverse ecosystems range from tropical rain forests to the arid Ka'u Desert. The park offers visitors the opportunity to experience dramatic volcanic terrain and, depending on conditions, even flowing lava.
